Therapy
My life felt out of control as if I was staring over a precipice. In the year we worked together, David seemed to take my hand and led me to a place that felt much more bearable. I’m not sure where I’d be if we hadn’t done this work together.
I felt I was standing on the edge of a precipice when I first started to speak to David. I felt he very gently took my hand and led me to a place that felt safe enough for me to begin to think about my future.
Somewhere along the way, something shifted. Perhaps a relationship is in crisis. Perhaps you're carrying grief, anxiety, or a low mood that just won’t shift. Perhaps you've achieved a great deal — and still feel, in your quieter moments, that something is missing.
You don't have to keep managing these feelings alone.
HOW THERAPY CAN HELP
People come to me with all kinds of difficulties — relationship problems, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, addiction issues, low self-esteem, anger, questions of identity and meaning, and the kind of persistent unhappiness that's hard to name but impossible to ignore. Whatever brings you here, you'll be met by me without judgement and with genuine care.
I work with both individuals and couples.
What therapy offers is rare: a consistent, confidential relationship focused entirely on you, in which you can begin to understand yourself more honestly — and from that understanding, change. Not just feel better temporarily, but actually show up in your life differently.
MY APPROACH
I draw on psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural (CBT), humanistic and transpersonal approaches, adapting to what each person needs rather than applying a single method. In practice this means we work at multiple levels — exploring the thoughts and behaviours that keep you stuck, as well as the deeper patterns, relationships and experiences that shaped them.
I also bring something that no qualification can teach: I know from the inside what it is to be in emotional pain, and to find a way through it. An experience of profound personal loss in my own life led me to train as a therapist — and that experience informs everything I do. I don't sit at a clinical distance. I am present, engaged, and genuinely invested in your wellbeing.
WORKING TOGETHER
We begin with an initial assessment session — a chance to talk about what's brought you here, to get a sense of how we work together, and to think about what kind of support is right for you. There's no pressure and no commitment beyond that first conversation.
If you decide to proceed, we'll agree a simple contract — number of sessions, frequency and practical details — which can be revisited as the work develops. Sessions are 50 minutes and held at a regular time each week, which itself provides a stabilising rhythm many clients find valuable.
I see clients in person in London and Kent, and work with clients across the UK and internationally via video call.
